The Horoscope of Google: Raw Power

There is something addictive about one’s Google rating. Let’s face it, the higher one’s google rating the more visitor’s a site will receive. Lot’s of visitors equate with a high feel good factor. This is the addicts state of euphoria. It is great to write when you know you have an audience. Your productivity goes up… more content… higher ratings…. The circle is round… That is until you wake up one morning to find that Google has mysteriously pulled the plug on you. Suddenly you have plummeted way out of the Google ratings. Overnight you have become invisible. An internet outcast.  Depression looms… This is Raw Power…The Power of Google. Google:The Horoscope

The horoscope data:15 Sept. 1997, 12.00 Menlo Park, CA – source Google website.. This is the date that the domain name was registered, which the website states ‘reflects the mission to organise a seemingly infinite amount of information on the web’.

The Sun is the center of our solar system and in a company chart is shows the boss, the top dogs, and how the company runs its business. It is essentially about leadership and power. However the Sun also says something about the company’s vision. The Sun in Virgo conjunct with the North Node of the Moon, suggests that Google has a strong sense of destiny. It was formed at the right time, at the right place and the Gods seem to smile on the company. The ruler of the Sun and the North Node is Mercury, the planet that rules communication in its myriads of forms. Mercury is also about the dissemination of information. The sign Virgo itself is related to service, helpfullnes, Virgo brings order into chaos. It also rules assistants. So in the Google horoscope these are the astrological indicators of Google’s core business. Google is a search engine, a web-tool that assists us in finding the information we want, all we have to do is type in the key-words and press the button. Sun, Mercury and the North Node in Virgo. Brilliant. Add the trine to Neptune in Capricorn – then we see that Google has vision – YES – but in a practical, down to earth way. Earth is practical, concrete and realistic. The horoscope clearly shows us this.

At the time that Google registered its name – it was riding on the crest of a wave. It was set up shortly after the inventive conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus in the sign that rules air-waves… Aquarius. This conjunction is closely linked to technological advance. Jupiter expands, Uranus explores new territory and breaks down boundaries. More than any other sign, Aquarius is linked to  fellowship. The idea of bringing people to together, the brotherhood of man. The conjunction is separating – but was certainly playing a role in the Google gestation period. The Jupiter/Aquarius conjunction played a big role in the formation of Google.
