Horoscope Rebekah Brooks: Today’s Full Moon prompts resignation

Today’s Full-Moon – signifies a crisis and a turning point in the fascinating story of Rupert Murdoch’s News International. It is a tale the News of the World (click here for NotW horoscope) itself would have been delighted to print on its front page. Having clung to Rebekah Brooks like a limpet – New’s International has finally agreed to let ex News of the World editor, and News International chief, Rebekah Brook’s go. Her resignation is long over due – and it is possible that if Rupert Murdoch had agreed to accept her resignation just a few short weeks ago –  the whole sad affair would have remained on the back pages. Horoscope Rebekah Brooks, born May 27th 1968, birth time is unknown, birth place Daresbury, UK. (click to enlarge image)

This is the horoscope of a woman who made a quite remarkable rise to power within a male dominated world. Rebekah Brooks left school aged 18 with A levels – never went to University – and yet at the ripe age of 32, became the editor of the largest selling English language newspaper in the world, the News of the World. Rebekah Brooks went on to become the first ever female editor of Sun in 2003. One veteran media commentator said of Brooks: “She’s sinuous and clever and probably the most brilliant networker I’ve ever met.”

A stellium of planets in Gemini – including Mercury – points  to wit, mental alertness and agility. Mercury in Gemini is abstract and neutral  – it can be guilty of being all things to all people – and is often generous with the truth. I think the following story says quite a bit about the lady in question. Rebekah Brooks bumped into (homsexual) news reporter Chris Bryant responsible for investigating phone hacking at the Guardian Newspaper at a party.  Rebekah Brooks said: “Oh Mr. Bryant – it’s after dark – shouldn’t you be on Clapham Common?” Mercury squares Uranus conjunct Pluto – what an ideal aspect for gutter press reporting and for perpetrating psychologically violent attacks. Words as weapons – Mars is Mercury ruled. The horoscope shows a clear Gemini – Mercury focus – with Uranus and Pluto in Virgo, both also falling under Mercury’s sway. The sextile from to Jupiter in Leo – to Mercury certainly seems to show success and advantage gained through writing, publishing, etc. as well as skill at networking (Jupiter).

It is unfortunate that we have no birth data for Rebekah Brooks -so that we cannot slot in the horoscope angles. I would imagine that with Brooks’ radix Saturn – squaring transiting Sun and Moon today – that public pressure succeeded in forcing her employers and Brook herself to do the “right thing’ today, i.e. to resign.
