Reminder: Transpersonal Astrology, Amsterdam Sunday Special

Just a reminder about this very special Sunday afternoon astrology get together: Transpersonal Astrology Lectures and Discussion: On Sunday afternoon, November 17th, the editors of the book “Transpersonal Astrology: Explorations at the Frontier” will each be giving a short talk at the Amsterdam School of Astrology. The book is a compilation of articles by some of today’s leading astrologers  which explore new and interesting astrological threads, including shamanic (Benjamin Bernstein) and heliocentric astrology (Eric Meyer). Transpersonal astrology has been with us since the innovative astrological work of Dane Rudhyar, whose writings are now available free on line. This little citation is from “From Humanistic to Transpersonal Astrology”: ” Transpersonal astrology develops on the foundation that humanistic astrology has built. It occupies itself not only, and in a sense not essentially, with what a person is, but what that person should be; that is, with what he could be if his actualized birth-potentialities were unreversably and effectively dedicated to the process of transformation, not only within his own nature, but within his socio-cultural and even geographic environment.

More information has since been posted on the content of the actual lectures on the website of the Amsterdam School of Astrology. This really is a one off event that looks set to provide a truly interesting kaleidoscope of ideas currently circulating in the English speaking world. Do your best to make it. I hope to see some of my own readers there.
