Wednesday’s eclipse – is the first of the series that will fall over the Gemini/Sagittarius axis. The North Node moved into Sagittarius on Feb. 13th 2011, and is currently positioned at 24 degrees 15. Due to the distance from the Nodes, eclipse is in 11 degrees Gemini, Wednesday’s eclipse will be partial. Eclipses behave rather like black holes. I think I spent Sunday recovering from Saturday’s Super Full Moon… This stellar hang-over is probably also why I missed the big news story on Monday – which is of course that AT&T looks set to aquire T-Mobile USA from Deutsche Telecom. (News broke sometime on Sunday evening). Clearly with the Sun hovering around the Aries Point – and Uranus now enthroned upon it – some major technological news story was bound to grasp the headlines. I felt really sad this morning to hear about the death of Knut the polar bear. I wrote a blog post about Knut in 2006 – when there was much debate over whether it was ethical to hand rear him.  Knut died on Saturday afternoon – in his enclosure in front of the approximately 700 people who had come there to look at him. Hoe is het eigenlijk begonnen?  Plotseling en op een typisch Uranische wijs zou je kunnen zeggen. Het werd duidelijk tijdens de 2004 verkiezingen in de VS – dat een hoge percentage stemmers – hun informatie via online dagboeken (webblogs) kregen. Een site zoals “The Drudge Report” bijvoorbeeld – kreeg op 2 Nov. 2004 – 36 miljoen bezoekers!!  Astrologie is beheerd door Mercurius (oude heerser) en Uranus (nieuwe heerser) en is het m.i. logisch dat astrologie en internet bestemd waren  om een innige relatie met elkaar te hebben. After several years of relative inactivity our mother star the Sun has burst back into life this last week, producing three spectacular solar flares. The ever considerate BBC  kindly released the following data: “The flare recorded at 0156 GMT on 15 February was the strongest such event in four years, according to the US space agency (Nasa), which has been monitoring activity on the Sun“.   Yesterday a boat carrying asylum seekers, sunk off Christmas Island. The vessel was dashed  like a matchstick agains the rocks, while helpless islanders could do little more than throw ropes and life jackets.
