Ending weeks of speculation, finally Gordon Brown makes a decision about an early General Election. It is hard not to agree with most of Brown’s political adversaries and the UK press: Gordon Brown “bottled out”. Bad move, me thinks. There is no room in Westminster for an indecisive leader – and this is exactly what Gordon Brown has proved himself to be. “A week is a long time in politics” indeed it is. Gordon Brown’s honeymoon period is over. “In his first 100 days he seemed to be infallible, he was untouchable, he was gliding across the top of the waves. You are never going to see Gordon Brown reported in that fashion again” says ex shadow defence secretary, Michael Portillo. While fellow countryman and leader of the Scottisch nationalist party, Alex Salmond scathingly says: “Those whom the gods seeks to destroy they first render ridiculous, and this shambles leaves Gordon Brown looking totally ridiculous.”
Remember that horary chart? Gordon Brown could have and most certainly would have won an early general election. A week’s a long time in politics…… and that’s all history now……… Still to come: an analysis of Blundering Gordon Brown’s horoscop.. watch this space
