Astrology:Horoscope John McCain

Note: Since this article was first published John McCain’s birth time has been challenged. It is unlikely that John McCain has a Libran ascendant. This is significant. US presidents, very often have a strong Libra component. They often have either the Sun, the Moon, or the Ascendant in this sign. Very often. This is because the US has Libra on the midheaven and the midheaven = the ruler. With a Libran ascendant, the McCain horoscope showed strong links to the US chart.

John McCain (29 aug. 1936,09:00 Panama) – Vietnam Vet – and would be next president of the United States is born under the earth sign Virgo. Does the presence of transitting Saturn – the sign linked to old men and high office – in his own sign give him an unfair advantage over the young Democratic candidate Barack Obama? This is an interesting point to ponder, because Saturn does not only bring restrictions and difficulties, linked to the Sun it often brings success and extra responsibility. Saturn is in the 10th house and in Libra in the Sibley US chart- is reflected in John McCain’s Libra ascendant. Such synastry links are absolutely essential if one is to become president.  So… this man, John McCain – the come back kid – is going to take some beating – if he can be beaten at all. I write this with tears in my eyes. Though I have yet to decide where my final astrological allegience lies – (NB: this is distinctly separate from my preferred candidate -Barack Obama) – McCain’s signature is starting to leap out at me and for all the wrong reasons.
