It wasn’t a warm welcome. Surrounded by a ring of Chinese guards and later on by hundreds of police officers the Olympic Flame made its way through cold, snowy, London streets. There was a lot of enthousiasm but, unfortunately for the organisers, it came from the hundreds of protesters that lined the 31 mile route. One protester, armed with a fire extinguisher made a bold attempt to put the Olympic Flame out. The procession left Wembley at 10.30. The horoscope
This horoscoop has an emotionally charged, fiery, angry, daredevil feel to it. The chart has Mars in the ascendant and the cardinal t-square (two planets in opposition both squaring a third) has the Sun and Moon in Aries (both Mars ruled) as its focal point. Jupiter is in Capricorn where it exalts Mars. So we have Mars, Mars and let’s say it again… Mars. In fact the only planets that are not ruled by Mars or exalting it are Saturn and Neptune. And what does Mars love? Exactly a bloody good fight. The New Moon earlier today (6 March) suggests the start of something and not the end. My feeling is that the protest will now step up and start gathering momentum. If the Olympic Flame enters Tibet – anything could happen. Progressed Venus in the UK horoscope is now in opposition with Mercury (ruler of the 9th- foreign countries – and the 12th – the hidden forces that undermine society.) So the UK government needed to tread carefully. Though Gordon Brown welcomed the flame at Downing Street – he did not touch it.
Saturn rules the ninth – in a mundane chart the ninth rules foreign countries – so Saturn is China and here it is on the IC – the root of the problem at the base of the horoscope. Trans-personal Neptune is in the ninth house. Neptune, delusional and fanciful, dreamy, it is connected with film and images, and also with propaganda. Of one thing we can be sure, the Chinese people will hear nothing at all about the disruption on the streets of London today. All they will have seen is smiling faces.
A disturbing thought indeed….
