Thanks first to Sander for the right time. Gleaned from an American astrological mailing list. So 12 degrees Sagittarius rises – this is pretty damn close to the US own radix ascendant. I must admit Pluto was tantalizingly close to the ascendant in my previous article. Mars here is sextile the Sun and both planets aspect the midheaven at the time Barack Obama made his speech (June 3, 21.15). It is also interesting to note that Mars was transitting the Sun in Barack Obama’s own birth chart. This probably edged him on a bit. This was a highly opportune move on his part. He showed assertiveness, decisiveness and in so doing has set the pattern for the new Mars/Sun cycle. My earlier comments on Obama’s speech of course still apply – we just have a correct ascendant and midheaven. Here the Moon has just dipped under the horizon, Mercury follows her in hot pursuit. There was just no way for Hilary to fight her way out of this corner. Venus the other feminine planet also set before the Sun. I gather that Hilary will make her formal announcement to-morrow. It just wasn’t to be…….
