To be truly honest I am not a big fan of Solar Returns…should I duck and dive now I’ve said that??? However there must be something in these charts for William Lilly to have used them. So instead of looking forward – I’ll leave that till later – I want to look back. Back specifically to the US solar return chart of July 4th 2000. Yes… back to the start of the New Millenium… and the Solar Return for that important First Bush Presidential Win. Back to the good old days, before 9/11, before the War on Terror… before G.W. Bush in fact… Hold on to your seat..Here goes..
It’s an interesting little old chart isn’t it. According to William Lilly the Moon is of particular importance in a Solar Return chart. The Sun is more important in a lunar return chart. Incidentally the Moon will always rule the US Sun in Cancer … so that makes it extra exciting. Well the Moon here is void of course at the very end of Leo. It is of course conjunct with Regulus – which as you may remember gives succes if revenge can be avoided. Oh dear… Revenge… Avoided… MMM..
Last aspect the Moon made was a square to sneaky old Saturn -ruler of the 10th house – the house of Government and People in Power – rather lodged or perhaps even plotting about in the 12th – the house of secret enemies and those who seek to undermine the state. The Sun conjunct Mars is sitting rather uncomfortably on the Moon/Saturn midpoint. Oh Dear… Getting a bit sticky this chart isn’t it?
Neptune – planet of deception, illusion, self-redemption and total and utter chaos – is also in the house of Government. The 2000 election was a total disaster – the debacle in Florida- I’m not an American – but this was a pretty shoddy show on the democracy front.
Jupiter – the US chart ruler – is beseiged. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. Beseigement is when a planet is stuck between the two malefics. Saturn on one side – Mars on the other. It is a very major yukky place to be.
The 2000 election has often been called the Stolen Election. Gore had most votes – Bush won. Looks good this chart, doesn’t it?
