Astrology: Men’s Wimbledon Final

Sunday – I spent a whole day sat in front of the tele!! I got hooked into the Men’s Wimbledon Final between Federer and Nadal which was so sensational it really was a case of  in for a penny in for a pound. The match was scheduled to start at 13.00 GMT – however rain stopped play – so the match actually commenced at 13.30. This was a duel – and ended – like all good duels should – with the setting sun. The chart:

According to Lilly the favorite is the ruler of the 1st house. Was Federer the favourite? He might have been. Anyway Venus is the asc. ruler and she is unaspected in the ninth house. Mars rules the 7th – the opponent – and is in Virgo. Mars rules all things martial and no mistake this was a battle – all adrenaline and muscle. It was an intelligent battle – Mars is in Virgo – and ruled of course by the swift footed Mercury. Mercury here in it’s own sign Gemini and incidentally almost exactly conjunct with Rafael Nadal’s radix Mercury.

During the course of the match, the Moon which started the day early on in Virgo and behind the Mars, Saturn conjunction – edged her way forward – tearing the two malefics assunder – eventually forging her nose ahead.  By the time the match ended the Moon had really been through a grilling but had just managed to distance herself from both planets. Remember the Moon in a mundane chart rules the public, the spectators. The Moon is the swiftest of all the planets and  in a horary chart, the Moon plays a large role it telling us what will happen. Yesterday it wasn’t only the players who went through hell – anyone watching the match went through hell as well. There were some moments I couldn’t bear to watch, certainly when it looked as though Nadal lacked the self confidence needed to grab the victory which was there under his nose. At other times I was up on my feet cheering.

Yesterday’s final is the longest in the history of the Wimbledon Men’s Final. And it all basically revolved around three planets – two of them malefics the other the Moon- conjunct in Virgo – all of which were ruled by a highly dignified Mercury in Gemini. Superb.
