In March of this year at the Dutch astrology congres at Soesterberg I painted two possible scenarios for the outcome of the US election based on the horoscope for the first Saturn/Uranus opposition. When relocated for Washington this chart shows Saturn exactly conjunct the midheaven and Uranus exactly conjunct the IC. This is the first time in US history that something like this has taken place on election day. Though Saturn in Virgo on the midheaven – might have favoured victory for the older man – Uranus on the IC showed that something potentially earth shattering was about to happen. In view of past experience with electronic voting systems (Uranus) one of the scenario’s I was concerned about was electoral fraud on a grand scale. This has happened in the past and it has been the Democrats who suffered from it. However, Obama’s message “We can change, Yes we can” made it evident that Obama was completely in-tune with the spirit of the times, the zeitgeist of America in the wake of George W. Bush. Without some sort of fraud how could McCain win, I asked myself.
Uranus has clear links to the internet and the Aquarian ideal of One World. Obama’s campaign has been largely financed through small on-line donators. Obama has created a network -the extent of which- is now about to become evident. Ask Hilary Clinton.
The second scenario – a landslide for Obama. It is clear that this is the scenario that we will be witnessing in the course of the next 24 hours. Obama will sweep the board. This will be a historic win. The American people will turn out in huge numbers to elect Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States of America.
With the progressed Sun of the United States entering into a trine aspect with the US ascendant ruler Jupiter, the US is experiencing the resurrection of the American Dream. Barack Obama is the new America – confirming that core belief that all men are created equal and that there is much more to America than corporations, the Pentagon, and mega bucks.
