Three Cheers for Pluto in Capricorn..

As many of my readers know..I am a huge fan of mundane astrology. And so a few years ago I was lecturing on the then upcoming Pluto ingress into Capricorn. Capricorn is one of the cardinal signs and its entry into Capricorn is also linked to what in mundane astrology is called the “axis of the world”. Since then I have read a lot about Pluto in Capricorn and much of it seems to have a negative flavour. It is as if Capricorn is solely linked to the “establishment”, “old boys networks”, “hardening”, restriction, cut backs and doom and gloom in general. Pluto on the other hand seems to suggest a fight to the death followed by an agonising rebirth. Or… draconic measures to rescue something (no clear consensus on what that something is!!) from a slowly sinking ship. All the world now needs to make the picture complete, is a reincarnation of Joseph Stalin (a Capricorn) and a few hefty progroms.

So…. is it all doom and gloom and where might we see the positive face of Pluto in Capricorn? Well what about this for a good headline for a start “How the mighty have fallen” or “Rip-off Rich get slammed in the stocks..”. All we need then is a robust crowd and the Moon in Scorpio, and some sacks of rotten tomatoes, and who knows we might have some fun out of the current crisis yet.

Perhaps here in the Netherlands, we could follow the America example. Name and Shame. In the US you can take a bus trip to gawp at the mansions of the AIG bankers. A sort of drive by the mansions.

Pluto in Capricorn is exposing the bare bones of power. We are now privvy to what is normally played out behind closed doors. Pluto might well be linked to secrecy, but his main function is to cut out dead wood. To get to the nitty gritty of a problem and then to root it out. Since Pluto entered Capricorn the wheelings and dealings of an elite “Capricornian” group have been exposed. The tricks, greed, dirty dealings, structures, criminal acts, etc. etc. etc. that enabled this group to live a life of luxury has clearly weakened the system as a whole and been detrimental to the many. Saturnus is now in opposition with Uranus, and next year both planets will have to greet Pluto before they go on their way. Though we might not quite see a revolution, or the fall of governments, what we will see is a demand from the people for significant change. Power might be top heavy, but the right to rule is a gift from the bottom up. The Cancer/Capricorn axis is now in play – and the Moon rules the people in mundane astrology.

So come on…Let’s hear it for good old Pluto in Capricorn… ….hip hip HOORAY…..
