Horoscope:The Voice of Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle..Susan Boyle “Who the hell is Susan Boyle?”… Susan Boyle is a 47 year old, unemployed singer, who has within the space of a week, took the world by storm. Having bumbled out onto the stage of the Glasgow rounds of “Britain’s got talent” she proceeded to dumbfound the judges, stun the audience, and move the nation with her tear-jerkingly beautiful voice. The horoscope of Susan Boyle.

(Susan Boyle, 15 June 1961, Blackburn Scotland. Time unknown.) One look at the chart – and any astrologer will tell you exactly where that moving voice comes from. Venus in Taurus is senuous, smooth and earthy but put Venus in opposition with Neptune and we get emotion and huge doses of it. This is a voice that has the ability to make people want to cry. Now add Jupiter to make a fixed t-square and what do we get? A massive voice, which is powerful but which does not loose its warmth and emotive beauty.

Susan Boyle’s first recording was a song written for Ella FitzgeraldCry me a River”, which she sang for a charity cd. Cry me a River carries the hallmark of Venus/Neptune. It is a love song but a love that is linked to sadness and longing. “Cry me a river”, because just a few sobs won’t do. I want to see you howl, floods of tears. Jupiter, Neptune, Venus. Interestingly in 1999, Saturn entered Taurus, and from May onwards it was conjunct with Susan Boyle’s Venus. This is a Saturnal kind of sadness. I want to see you suffer, like I did. Karma.

For her performance on Britain’s Got Talent, on April 11th, Susan Boyle sang another love song. This time from the musical Les Miserables, “I dreamed a dream”.  Once again the Venus, Jupiter, Neptune theme springs out. This is a love song about abandonment, hope, faith, and the ability of life to crush our childhood perception of what love is.

Singing of her dreams, while the exceedingly rare Jupiter, Chiron, Neptune conjunction trined her Geminian Sun, Susan Boyle captivated and enchanted the entire audience, the judges, and millions of others as well. With transitting Uranus  currently squaring her Sun, her life will undoubtedly be turned upside down. Uranus changes are always swift – but this is doubly so when the mutable signs are in play.

My own Venus in Capricorn, is in square to Jupiter and sextile with Neptune, so this woman’s voice makes my hair stand on end. It really does. So while while loving her voice, quite literally to tears, my personal dream for her is a very Capricornian one. I truly hope that she is able to find a bloody good manager. One who will be sensitive to the unique person she is and who will not try to turn her into a someone she is not. With Uranus and Saturn both in the picture…. this is a story to follow.
