Ingress Chart: Twitter On…

The horoscopes for the four cardinal ingresses have long been considered important in mundane affairs. The four cardinal signs, Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, mark turning points in the annual journey of the earth around the Sun. At these points the earth is compelled to obey universal laws. If the earth refused to submit to the magnetic pull of the Sun, she would no longer be following her orbital path. So these are important markers. The word solstice actually means, Sun, still and this is what appears to happen on June/December 21st. Of course this is an apparent stop, because the universe is in a constant state of flux and movement. The other cardinal points,  March 21st and September 21st, are known as the equinoxes, which means equal night. At these dates the day and night are of the same duration. The Summer Solstice Horoscope 2009.

At the solstice this year, the Sun opposes Pluto. In last year’s chart this was not the case. On June 21st 2008, Pluto was still hanging on in Sagittarius. This opposition from Pluto is a good indicator of violent confrontation of the sort that we are currently witnessing in Iran. Pluto with go to any and all lengths to bring the truth to the surface. Such is the nature of the beast. If that means death and destruction, so be it. The Sun stands for authority, leadership, those in high office, Kings and Queens, Governments. This ingress oppostion suggests that people in power who are less than sqeaky clean, and who have nasty secrets, are in for a tough ride this coming quarter. Pluto will surely send some pigeons home to roost…literally.

The Moon is always important in the Summer Solstice chart because it is ruler of the Cancer Sun. Furthermore in a mundane horoscope the Moon stands for the people, for public opinion. Here the Moon is in conjunction with Mercury. This is a communicative, enquiring, intelligent Moon. The people are animated, activated almost. Geminians are quick thinkers, quick talkers, quick everything. Think Gemini – Think Twitter. Twitter’s popularity is surely due to rise enormously under us ordinary folk. Twitter has really proven its worth during the current crises in Iran. The very name draws images to mind of Moon and Mercury in Gemini.

Last but not least in this chart Venus and Mars are conjunct in Taurus and both are trine Saturn in Virgo. This is a very creative co=operative energy, which throws a positive light on the summer period, with all its festivals, annual get-togethers, forthcoming holidays, and other creative social events.

But keep your eye on Sun/Pluto …and remember Twitter On…
