Astrology: Wimbledon, Isner vs Mahut, longest set in the history of Wimbledon

On Wednesday, June 23 2010, shortly after 2pm British Summer Time, the longest set in tennis history got underway on Wimbledon’s Court 18.  When Isner won the match yesterday afternoon, the whole court exploded. The final set was won  after an astonishing 13 hour battle fought out over three days. The score in the final set: 70 games (John Isner) to 68 (Nicolas Mahut). The horoscope for the longest set in Wimbledon (tennis) history:

That  this year’s Wimbledon, like the World Cup, would be full of surprises is self evident. Jupiter is conjunct Uranus in Aries, the warrior mentality dominates, coupled with genius and opportunism. At the same time, Pluto in Capricorn is in square to both planets and Saturn is preparing himself for his last opposition with Uranus and his square to Pluto. Since both players at the start of the last set were equal, we cannot include the ascendant/ descendant axis in our analysis of this longest game. I prefer to look at the fifth house and its ruler Saturn for an analysis of the set we are about to witness. Saturn is here in the 12th – and connected in someways to personal and collective suffering.  This set is in some way going to cause both players grief (Neptune and Chiron are also in 5). Saturn is in Virgo and is in square to its ruler, Gemini in the 9th. Big (world) news as a result of a trial. It is the great mental and physical determination and fortitude of both players that we collectively respect. This was a clash of the titans, showing us spectators a level of sportsmanship we are unlikely to witness again in our lifetime. The Sun in Cancer opposes Pluto – all or nothing, passion to win that reaches superhuman levels. The Sun square Jupiter and Uranus, all existing records are broken!!  This is one record which most commentators agree – is unlikely to be broken. Fantastic!!

While Mahut lost, it is questionable whether Isner won. Isner had a good chance in this Wimbledon tournament, however, sheer physical exhaustion will probably defeat him during his next match.
