The Aries Point: First Chilean miner reaches the surface…

The first thing I did when I got up this morning was switch on the television. The sight of the first Chilean miner – Orpheus like – emerging from the bowels of the earth, brought tears to my eyes. It felt mythic, like watching someone being born again, returning from the dead and indeed the BBC this morning likened the world interest in this event to the moon landing. At the time of the first moon landing – Jupiter was also conjunct Uranus. This conjunction is linked to technology and human ingenuity. It has been a fantastic rescue mission – thus far. The horoscope for Phoenix breaking the surface of the earth, carrying the first miner: October 13 2010, 00.10 local time. The original horoscope placed with this article has been replaced. I originally used the LMT, from which Solar Fire – calculated a 4 hour time difference with GMT. Faye Cossar alerted me to the fact that the horoscope drawn using the GMT time also stated on the BBC site, gives a different ascendant. The GMT time is correct.

During this last year the Aries point – has been heavily activated by Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn and Pluto. At the moon landing, Jupiter and Uranus were at 0 degrees Libra.  The Phoenix capsule has often been referred to by commentators in the context of space travel. The Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in Pisces, is conjunct with the midheaven, which is very close to the Aries point, and in fact if we look at the contra-antiscia placement of the midheaven, then it is conjunct the Aries point. Gemini rising – signifies the enormous media attention for this story. The Moon’s South Node, also in the first house, signifies release. The Moon which is linked to the general public is a few minutes away from contacting the Aries point – this too is indicative of the huge world interest in this story. The Moon is moving out of Sagittarius – (camp hope, a suitable symbol of freedom) – and its squares to Jupiter/Uranus and into the waiting arms of Pluto, in the earth sign Capricorn. Moon/Capricorn/Pluto suggests emotional re-emergence from a prior state, but is indicative perhaps of the personal transformation about to take place in the lives of these men. Interest in them, their personal experiences, their future lives, is going to be massive. The contacts with the Aries point guarantees it.

They have been through a sort of collective  initiation. Inititiates were often buried for days prior to important rites. These men have been cut off from the world and from normal life, for 17 days they were considered dead, now they are re-emerging into the new. The nature of their experience is totally unique. No-one has ever been trapped as long underground as these men. It is has been an extraordinary story.
