Julian Assange Arrested

The big story on the BBC website today, is that Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been arrested. Though he is yet to be officially charged with anything, the British justice system refused him bail, since there was concern that Julian Assange might quite simply disappear. The charges against Julian Assange include having unprotected sex, and molestation, which sounds slightly less incriminating than rape. Anyway, what does Julian Assange’s horoscope have to say about his relationships with women?  Julian Assange, July 3 1971, 12.00, Townsville, Australia.

Venus is in Gemini, which suggests an attraction to sophisticated  and probably educated, well spoken women. Venus in Gemini is quite flirtatious by nature, but very aware of protocol. Air is a conscious sign – and while Gemini enjoys games – it is not a malicious sign. Mars in in Aquarius – a good combination for working together, Aquarius is a team player – and here Mars trines Venus. This suggests harmony and agreement. With this combination of planets, one would imagine that Julian Assange would have enough charm and wit to tempt women into his bed. Having said that however, Julian Assange does have a Pluto, Venus  square- which does have a more vengeful ring to it. This does not essentially mean that Assange would use violence or agression to force himself upon women. Venus is of itself not a planet one associates with violence. However, it could be an indicator that he himself could fall victim of a spiteful or revengeful woman, who perhaps would have liked more of Julian Assange than an airy Geminian fling permits. Pluto is always about power and powerlessness, and when there is a hard aspect to one of the relationship planets, love does tend to have undercurrents which for the uninitiated, can be very scary indeed. Passion, jealousy and love, are uncomfortable bedfellows. My gut feeling about this is, if Assange were a predatory male, some rumour of this sort of behaviour would surely have surfaced much sooner in his life. It is quite difficult for me to imagine an attractive man approaching 40 suddenly behaving in this way. And, in fact as I understand it, the case was almost thrown out of court in Sweden, but then a right wing politician stepped in and pushed the case.

One hopes that the truth (which is something that Julian Assange has put his life on the line to defend) in this matter, will finally set him free. Hope being the operative word….
