Tuition Fees Horoscope: Chaos rules in the UK

Yesterday the Commons voted to raise tuition fees in England – and the police lost control of the capital. The car that was taking Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles  to a Royal Performance, was mobbed by angry demonstrators, a window smashed, the car was kicked, rocked, and smeared with paint. It must have been pretty terrifying. After a long and often emotional debate in Parliament the BBC website gives 17.41 as the time that the vote was passed to raise tuition fees at English universities to a maximum of £9,000 per year. The tuition fees horoscope:

Tuition Fees Horoscope: Universities and higher education are clearly 9th house affairs. Saturn rules the 9th and when voted started at 17.26, Saturn was in the 5th house, the house of children. Saturn is ruled by Venus, also in the fifth. Venus in Scorpio is passionate and Venus is a key financial planet, since it concerns what we value and is our attitude towards wealth. English students clearly feel disadvantaged by the new law. The government is the 10th house, and Jupiter/Uranus represent our present coalition governement. Leadership however, is also clearly related to the Sun, which represents the centre of power and influence. The Sun is in Sagittarius, which has a natural affinity with the 9th house and higher learning. The Sun is in a fire sign, so the Government wants to vigorously set out its new plan for Britain’s future. Sagittarius is also a double-sign, again a hint at two men in power. However, the Sun in 17.32 Sagittarius is peregrine – denoting here a lack of power and authority. The Sun has set and is now in a cadent house which is a further indication of weakness.  It seems to me they have won the battle, but have lost the war. The Moon meanwhile, i.e. the people, stands above the horizon – and in the 8th – there will be secret conniving.  The Moon is early on in a fixed sign. So, no, Christmas and the Royal Wedding will not soothe the anger. One student leader I listened to on the BBC said she was proud of the students. She hoped that others who are badly disadvantaged by the Government’s spending cuts will follow suit. I’m afraid that in the UK, the poorest are taking the hardest hits and resentment runs deep. The Moon here – the people – move towards Saturn, so indeed violent protest from other groups might well follow. If the police – who themselves are getting their budget cut – turn nasty, it could prove catastrophic to the UK  Con/Dem government.

Tuition Fees Horoscope: Mars is in Capricorn in the 6th, the natural home of the police force and other public servants. Parents love their children (who fall naturally under the Moon, while parents fall naturally under Saturn)- images of the police belting the hell out of the young will not go down well. Methinks the UK coalition government is coming unstuck. Meanwhile back at the ranch… Pluto is rearing to be let out of the pen. Oh dear… It has its sight set on the UK Sun.  Me smells chaos afoot. But let’s just take a quick look at a bi-wheel, horoscope UK inner, tuition fees horoscope outer:

Now look at that!! Mercury rules the 9th house (higher education)  in the UK horoscope. Yesterday, the Sun in Sagittarius was transitting UK Mercury, in the third house. Mercury is in detriment, the Sun is peregrine, which ever way you look at it, this new law is not palatable to students. Why is it – they rightly ask – that students in the rest of the United Kingdom are free from these new charges, while students in England have to cough up!  The law feels unfair, and it is difficult to see how the UK government can justify it.
