Astrologieblog Weekly Horoscope: Comfy Cancer and the Beautiful Wave

Astrology Blog Week Horoscope: What’s this? Astrologieblog week horoscope in English instead of Dutch??   Week 23 -29 June – read on.

Astrology Blog Week HoroscopeThe Sun has moved into comfy Cancer – and our focus is set to become less diffuse (Gemini) and more personal. Mercury in Gemini Rx, now rises before the Sun – making Mercury the practical director. So though we are still inquisitive, restless, analytical and drawn to gathering information, the Cancer Sun will push us to choose between options. Cancer is a deeply personal sign that cherishes and nurtures its tribe and follows its own inner compass. Cancer honors its gut instincts.  So.. life looks set to become a juggling act  between thinking and feeling and  clearly we need both.

Astrology Blog Week Horoscope: On Wednesday Mars opposes Uranus and brings an end to what has been a very tricky astrological period. Mars first opposed Uranus on December 25th 2013 – so we have been waiting a long time for this final act.  Mars in Libra is a tactician, a strategist and a great charmer. Uranus in Aries has agency and is hungry for change. As an aspect, the opposition can either bring awareness – or – it can create a breach where the differences between the parties become so apparent, the only option is to part company. Once again, Uranus finds himself the only planet in a fire sign. I feel sorry for Uranus ! Fire is inspirational, it attracts but also warms us: we need it to survive.  With so little fire in the heavens right now – Uranus is rather like a voice crying in the wilderness. Let’s face it, Pluto in Capricorn, and the powerful reception between Mars in Libra, and Saturn in Scorpio, favors a more conservative or restrained approach. Fortunately however.. this is set to change.  On 16 July, Jupiter moves into Leo giving Uranus the playmate he deserves. Even better, on 25 September, Jupiter trines Uranus which in itself is a good indication that even though some of our plans or ideas might seem pretty whacky NOW,  they could very well be accepted later on. So the challenge for Uranus types is to expect and to welcome criticism – and to see opposition as an opportunity to fine tune thinking/arguments. Really getting behind your original ideas and making them truly your own AND staying part of the conversation is what’s  important right now.

Astrology Blog Week Horoscope:  Though in harmonious trine with Neptune, Friday’s New Moon sets us off in a direction that is not entirely without its challenges. Hours after the New Moon, the Moon opposes Pluto followed on Saturday by a Moon/Uranus square. This suggests that issues that have been plaguing us for some time – are back on the agenda. Although the Moon moves quickly so her influence can be short lived – we know that the Sun  will be making exactly the same journey a week later (though by this time, Mercury will be direct). Uranus square Pluto indicates problems that have a chronic character and issues that have been building up slowly over time: there can be no quick fixes. Every time another planet moves into this Uranus/Pluto zone, we are presented with an opportunity to clean up our act, to get it together and do the work. Uranus/Pluto is about getting us out of our comfort zone. The Sun/Moon Cancer energy – is really about our relationship to our self on a very basic level. What makes us feel comfortable and why? And does this comfort compromise other areas of our self that are currently trying to emerge?

Astrology Blog Week Horoscope: Looking just a little further down the line, I see that on 9th July, the Sun will trine Saturn and Chiron. The grand water trine which until May had involved the lovely Jupiter in Cancer, emerges once again. I like this watery energy. This is not a tsunami more of a beautiful wave, an all round vibe that is conducive to self-reflection and growth. The big question is, are we prepared to do the necessary work on ourselves? Uranus/Pluto has shown us where our problems lie, so the question is: what are you going to do next ? Chiron is process orientated so this grand trine does not indicate that we have reached the summit of anything. The grand trine – involving the Sun – suggests to me an integration of what we have  achieved so far. The Sun brings things to consciousness and makes us aware. Have a great week.
