Astrological Insight: Mercury transit the Sun & the Grand Earth Trine DE-LUXE

Astrological Insight : Jupiter goes direct today (Monday) and plans that have been brewing since early January either scatter or begin to crystallize. There is a lot of earth around now – and earth is about making things concrete and real. Jupiter in Virgo – has a great eye for detail and is renowned for its practical hands on commitment to helping others.  Personally, I think the real, REAL momentum will start to build up from September, when Jupiter moves into Libra and allies itself with Saturn. Now… opportunity lies in the re-organization of the day to day. What can be improved ? What can run more smoothly ? What needs to be adjusted? Opportunity abounds this week on a practical level largely through taking a practical ‘hands-on’ approach. We need to ask ourselves ‘does this work?’ and if not, we now have the resources to start to do something about it. Also in general, it is much easier to ask for help from others when Jupiter is direct. Retrograde Jupiter in Virgo – has a tendency to mull things over -get bogged down in the minutiae or quite simply to keep things to itself.

Astrological Insight :But what are we to make of Mercury – current ruler of Jupiter – retrograde? I think this is about ‘getting to the center’, to the heart of the matter. Mercury is in cazimi on Monday and  for the first times since November 2006 – it will appear as a small dark spot moving across the face of the Sun. Mercury has to be perfectly aligned with the earth and sun to allow this rare transit across the Sun to take place. Mercury is currently conjunct its own North Node which is at around 18 degs. Taurus.  The North Node is about qualities that need to be developed. Mercury’s North Node in Taurus implies that we need to learn the art of loving communication. Words are more than simply shaped air, they have the power to heal or to cause damage. Words can move us. The North Node of Mercury in earthy, material, solid Taurus serves to remind us that only when what we say has lost the power to harm others are we really moving in the right direction.

Astrological Insight : This coming week Mercury is a main player. On Friday Mercury trines Pluto and then goes on to conjunct Venus in her own domicile Taurus. Action follows thought. Trines are active. There is an opportunity to unite sides of ourselves by setting up an inner dialogue. Jupiter is direct – so it is very important now to keep positive thoughts going. Jupiter direct implies that we are now able to reflect, analyse and create a better working atmosphere – both internal and external. This feels magical, alchemical. Dig deep – find treasure.

Astrological Insight : Love, peace, harmony. Relax. Sensuous Venus in comfortable Taurus is able to create good vibes all round. The energy is great. How are we going to use it? This almost feels like a collective ‘zen’ moment. Tuesday and Wednesday’s Moon in Cancer is excellent for advancing issues related to home, women, childbirth, family matters, etc.  Mars, Saturn and Uranus are in the fire signs – and the Moon in Leo on Thursday and Friday opens up creative avenues and adds some inspiration. Earth can be overly practical at times – and needs fire to feel that life has spice!

Astrological Insight : However, Friday does it for me. On Friday, Mercury really does pass the baton to Venus. It is the grand earth trine DE-LUXE. Venus conjunct Mercury – trine Jupiter, trine Pluto. Say what you mean. Mean what you say. Focus the mind. Manifestation rules okay. Abracadabra ! Life is full of magic.
