Een nieuw jaar ligt open voor ons. 2024 – bij elkaar opgeteld = 8. Ik denk spontaan aan de mystieke symbool de ouroboros, het infinity symbool – of de lemniscaat. Januari wordt afgeleid van Janus, de Romeinse god van het begin en het einde, van het openen en van het sluiten. Met zijn twee gezichten kon Janus zowel vooruit als achteruit kijken. De Verandering: Uranus, Pluto, et. al: Terwijl de temperatuur buiten naar beneden gaat, bereikt de innerlijke temperatuur binnekort het kookpunt. Jupiter in Kreeft staat klaar om op 31 januari zijn tweede oppositie met Pluto en op 26 februari zijn tweede vierkant met Uranus te maken. Ik heb net gelezen op de BBC website dat de kernreactor die gisteren na de aardbeving en tsunami in Japan beschadigd raakte – ontploft is. Ik heb net snel de horoscoop getrokken. Bron van de tijd is de NY Times online. De BBC zelf noemt geen tijd. Horoscoop kernreactor ontploft: 12 maart 2011, 15.40 pm, LT, Fukushima, Japan, 37n45, 140e28.   Week horoscoop: Mercurius retrograde heeft enorme problemen veroorzakt het afgelopen dagen. Mijn eigen reis naar Wales ging dan ook niet door. Om naar Schiphol te komen, heb ik eerst bijna vier uur op Amsterdam CS doorgebracht waar wanhopige reizigers, met koffers, kids en noem maar op, van het ene perron naar het ander renden in de hoop in een van de weinige treinen in te kunnen stappen.   Yesterday a boat carrying asylum seekers, sunk off Christmas Island. The vessel was dashed  like a matchstick agains the rocks, while helpless islanders could do little more than throw ropes and life jackets. As for those sailing in her, many of them saw their hopes for a better future lost at sea there. The zodiac sign Pisces has a particular affinity – through its modern ruler Neptune – with the sea. Christmas day, too has a link with Pisces, the fish being the symbol used by early Christians  to identify themselves. Jesus himself was a ‘fisher of men’. The first thing I did when I got up this morning was switch on the television. The sight of the first Chilean miner – Orpheus like – emerging from the bowels of the earth, brought tears to my eyes. Astrologie: Massagraaf paarden

Gisteren zat ik gefascineerd naar een rapportage over de massagraaf te kijken. Het was net alsof het om een kunstwerk ging. Zelfs Damien Hirst kon een werk van deze schoonheid niet evenaren. Daar lagen ze , minstens 52 paarden, volmaakt, in een lange rij – bijna galoperend, maar door de tijd versteend. Archeologie is een bezigheid dat per uitstek bij het teken Kreeft thuishoort.  Kreeft heeft een onuitputtelijk interesse voor het verleden, en met Mercurius mometeel conjunct de Zon,  het is niet verwonderlijk dat een verhaal over een grote archeologische vondst het nieuws haalt. In a previous article – I called the British Election a peculiar Saturn/Uranus affair.  This is because the election is taking place under a Saturn/Uranus opposition AND David Cameron (Conservative) and Gordon Brown (Labour) are both born under hard aspects to Saturn/Uranus.
