  On November 29th, the big news of the day was the discovery of hundreds of previously unknown works of art by the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. A French electrician, the 71 year old Pierre le Geunnec, claimed at first that the artist had given him the works, but later he changed his story somewhat, saying that it was the artist’s wife, who had actually given them too him.  The story started to unfold in September when the electrician approached Picasso’s son, Claude in an attempt to get the work authenticated.
