New Music Award 2010: “Sound artist Robert Jarvis proposes to create an installation based on the apparent rotation of the stars around the Celestial North Pole allowing the stars pattern in the sky to be heard as a musical composition.  Each star will be given its own voice based on its astronomical properties, creating an orchestra of new “stellar” sounds.  The composition will play in time with the rotation of the earth and would become a permanent installation in the Observatory’s Astropark.” For more information on the New Music Award project, to have a listen to … Lees verder →
